Spanish Instructors

MasSpanish instructors are a very select group of experienced Spanish tutors. All are native speakers with top-notch teaching skills, a passion for the language, and a commitment to results. Just as important, our instructors are engaging, well-educated individuals who know how to make your classes fun, dynamic and relevant.

Joaquin

Joaquin is a native of Mexico with a business degree from the Universidad de Colima. Before becoming a Spanish tutor, Joaquin ran a sales training business. He has taught Spanish to many Boston professionals and at embassies and NGOs in Washington DC. He loves gardening and cooking and once worked as a professional pastry chef.

Connie

Connie is a native of Colombia. She received a BA in Fine Arts from the National University of Colombia and a Masters in Museum Studies from Complutense University of Madrid. In addition to working as a Spanish tutor, she edits Spanish learning materials for an educational publisher. Connie enjoys art, movies, photography, and travel.

Nico

Nico is a native of Chile and has a B.A. in Education and a Master's in Social Work from Universidad de la Frontera in Temuco, Chile. He also works as a Spanish teacher at a Boston charter school. He enjoys playing soccer, and, since moving to the US, he has been trying to learn to cook all the new ethnic foods he loves so he can make them for his family back in Chile.

Lourdes

Lourdes is a native of Colombia. She has a Bachelor's degree from Escuela de Administración y Finanzas in Medellín and a Master's in Education from UMass, Boston. As well as having taught Spanish for many years, she is also a court interpreter and bilingual textbook editor. She is a great salsa dancer and loves to travel.

Karla

Karla is a native of Guanajuato, Mexico. She graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a double major in Global Studies and Spanish Literature. She is currently the Associate Director of a small and growing nonprofit that provides investment options in renewable energy and the environment. She enjoys traveling, cooking, running and playing tennis.

Nora

Nora is a native of Mexico. She has a B.S. in Engineering and an MBA from Monterrey Tech. She also has a Masters in International Affairs from The Fletcher School. Prior to becoming a Spanish instructor, she worked in international sales and marketing throughout Latin America and in the US. She enjoys dancing, traveling, and cooking.

Carlos

Carlos is from Puebla, Mexico. He is a physician with an M.D. from Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla. As well as teaching Spanish, he is volunteering in local medical clinics. He enjoys sports, cooking, travel, and art.

Bernardita

Bernardita is from Santiago, Chile, where she received degrees in Education and Literature from Universidad Adolfo Ibanez and a diploma in teaching Spanish as a second language. She recently completed a MA in Hispanic Languages and Literature at Boston University. She is currently also teaching Spanish at Simmons College. She enjoys cooking, dancing and concerts and has traveled throughout South America.

Marisabel

Marisabel is a native of Cuenca, Ecuador. In addition to being a Spanish instructor, she has worked as a legal, medical, and educational interpreter. She has experience tutoring both adults and children. She enjoys cooking, salsa dancing, and yoga.
