Meet Our Spanish Tutors

MasSpanish tutors are a very select group of experienced Spanish instructors. All are native speakers with top-notch teaching skills, a passion for the language, and a commitment to results. Just as important, our tutors are engaging, well-educated individuals who know how to make your classes fun, dynamic and relevant.

Yadira

Yadira is from Puerto Rico, where she studied sciences, worked in medical research, and received a law degree. In addition to tutoring Spanish, she is completing a Master of Laws at Suffolk Law School, specializing in Biomedicine/ Health Law and Intellectual Property Law. Yadira loves travel and meeting new people from around the world.

Challen

Challen was born and raised in Guatemala and graduated from Bates College with a degree in Environmental Studies. He worked as both a Spanish and ESL instructor in Guatemala, and taught Spanish to fellow students at Bates. He has a large collection of orchids in his home in Guatemala City, and he loves photography and yoga.

Connie

Connie is a native of Columbia. She received a BA in Fine Arts from the National University of Columbia and a Masters in Museum Studies from Complutense University of Madrid. In addition to working as a Spanish tutor, she edits Spanish learning materials for an educational publisher. Connie enjoys art, movies, photography, and travel.

 

Marisabel

Marisabel is a native of Cuenca, Ecuador. In addition to being a Spanish instructor, she has worked as a legal, medical, and educational interpreter. She has experience tutoring both adults and children. She enjoys cooking, salsa dancing, and yoga.

Karla

Karla is a native of Guanajuato, Mexico. She graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a double major in Global Studies and Spanish Literature. She is currently the Associate Director of a small and growing nonprofit that provides investment options in renewable energy and the environment. She enjoys traveling, cooking, running and playing tennis.

Joaquin

Joaquin is a native of Mexico with a business degree from the Universidad de Colima. Before becoming a Spanish tutor, Joaquin ran a sales training business. He has taught Spanish to many Boston professionals and at embassies and NGOs in Washington DC. He loves gardening and cooking and once worked as a professional pastry chef.
